• Principal Duties & Responsibilities• Assess Bank's business and identify the relevant E&S risks.• Assess the environmental and social risk profile to optimize business growthand make recommendations.• Make recommendations for formulating Environment and Social risk policiesand guidelines that Bank will follow to comply with E&S requirements.• Oversee environmental and social risk due diligence.• Regularly review the framework for the measurement and control of E&Srisks.• Define risk indicators and tools to identify, measure, control and monitor E&Srisks.• Verify and confirm that the system, policies and structures of E&S areworking effectively.• Provide training to staff on environmental and social risk.• Support the Business teams on advising clients regarding environmental andsocial issues where relevant.• Research on environmental and social issues and thematic topics that affectBank's business.• Analyze and present opportunities and risks inherent in potential Bankinvestments.• Perform regular scenario analyses/stress tests on the environmental Key RiskIndicators to test business resilience in case of adverse events.• Identify early signals of increasing risk exposure in various areas of Bank'soperations.• Ensure that Bank has appropriate and up-to-date preventive measures aswell as measures to minimize the negative effects of such risks in case theyhappen.Level of Authority• Recommend E&S risk management strategy, policy changes and standards.• Issue independent E&S opinions to management on related projects andother establishments, initiatives undertaken by the bank.Competency Requirements• Personal Effectiveness• Superior Analytical, Planning & organizing skills.• Strong Communicator (both oral & written).• Self-drive.• Strong independent judgement. 

• • Applied knowledge & skills in E&S.• Ability to develop E&S tools.• Firm appreciation & demonstration of E&S risks, as well as trends in risk. 

Education: • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies or other related field from a reputable education institution. • Post graduate qualification and professional certification in a related field will be an added advantage

• Experience• Minimum of 5 years related progressive experience including 3 years in E&Sand good knowledge in other risk control streams.• Sector-specific underwriting specialization and/or experience will be anadded advantage.
